Dazzling, daring, avant-garde,

Barcelona is a city of creativity & innovation and nowhere is that more evident than in its Modernist architecture

2 hours

Passeig de Gràcia, the city's most beautiful boulevard lined with Modernist palaces and private residences, serves as backdrop for an immersion in art, architecture & the exhilarating atmosphere in which Gaudí and his contemporaries re-wrote urban architecture.

With 7 UNESCO sites to his name alone, Gaudí and a handful of brilliant architects created some of the most spectacular artwork of the last century. Modernisme, or Catalan Modernism, formed part of the larger Art Nouveau movement spanning across 20th century Europe from Lisbon to Moscow.

This experience gives a deeper appreciation of an exhilarating turn of the century Barcelona in which Modernist art and architecture ushered in the modern city we recognize today. We conclude at Gaudí's masterpiece and resting place, one of the most ambitious and recognizable buildings in the world - La Sagrada Familia.

My wife and I went on "The Genius of Gaudí" and it blew our minds. Luke was our guide and he brought us along on a fun, informative tour that gave the perfect context for Gaudí's amazing works. Not only smart and knowledgeable he clearly loves the amazing art and architecture that he introduced us to. We've been on plenty of tours before, but this one was special -- the highlight being Luke's amazing reveal of La Sagrada Familia. I'll be mentioning Tailored Tours to everyone I know who travels to Barcelona.
