From the Gothic Quarter
to Gaudí's Sagrada Familia,
experience Barcelona's best in 1 day
Showcasing the artistic, architectural and creative richness of the city, The Best of Barcelona is a Full Day Exploration - a tour de force of over 2,000 years of history, art and culture.
What to expect?
We start in Barcino, what the Romans called their small trading post, growing over time into today's intricately layered Gothic Quarter. The remaining columns of Augustus' temple beguile, while winding medieval streets, charming plazas and spectacular Gothic architecture evoke nothing short of an open-air museum. Tucked into this patchwork is El Call, once home to a thriving medieval Sephardi community, whose rich cultural heritage fused Jewish & Catalan traditions.
Following lunch we explore L'Eixample district, home to a dazzling collection of Modernist palaces and residences conceived by Antoni Gaudí and his contemporaries. With 7 UNESCO Sites to his name alone, Gaudí symbolizes creativity and audacity at its very best. We conclude at his unfinished masterpiece and resting place, the world famous Sagrada Familia.
