Less than 1 hour from Barcelona it makes for an ideal Half Day excursion.
What to expect?
On this privately led experience we visit two family-run, award-winning wineries, allowing guests to learn about the cava making process from seed to bottle, descend into generations-old cellars and taste several vintage Gran Reserve cavas.
From ancestral practices to bio-dynamic wine making, this excursion aims to give a fuller understanding of the vital role cava plays in celebrating day to day Catalan culture as well as meeting the people & families who dedicate their lives to it.
Following the tasting guests enjoy a traditional Catalan picnic in the vineyards, set alongside an idyllic Mediterranean landscape of olive, almond & pomegranate trees;
This experience includes an expert-led private guide; round trip train to El Penedès & private transportation within El Penedès.
